Getting started in surgical research workshop, 13 November 2013, Royal College of Surgeons

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Research Fellowship Scheme, the RCS are holding a workshop entitled Getting Started in Surgical Research, for trainee surgeons and medical students.

Speakers will discuss what type of research to do, how to get going, funding avenues, when to do it, how to become involved in surgical trials, how to maintain a research interest as a consultant and how to get your work published.

The workshop will include short and engaging talks from former research fellows and heads of departments, discussing how the scheme has helped them.

The workshop starts at 11.00am, 13th November 2013.  Registration will open at 10.30am and refreshments will be available in the Edward Lumley Hall.
