Edinburgh Student Research Symposium

28th November

Held at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and run in conjunction with the University of Edinburgh?s School of Surgery Day, this one-day event encourages medical students to take part in research, with a morning session of both oral and poster presentations, followed by a guest lecture and an afternoon of research presentations by surgical trainees.

This symposium is a great opportunity for students interested in a surgical career to engage and network with surgical trainees and consultants, academics and senior clinicians.

Submit Abstracts!

Abstracts are invited of any work or study undertaken during undergraduate training that is of surgical relevance (e.g. special study modules, electives, personal interest etc).

A small number of abstracts will be selected to give poster presentations. These will be on display at lunch, and a poster prize will be awarded for the best poster.

Prizes

A voucher for money off an RCSEd course & publication in Surgeons? News Magazine will be awarded to the best presentation as selected by the panel of judges, with additional prizes for 2nd and 3rd places.
